by Jacques Charles, 60's { The Charles }
The manta ray glides through the water beating its triangular wings, vast and silent. Jacques Charles caught its flight: a lozenge-shaped sconce, made of polished metal blades that deploy like two wings on either side of a central body. The light, caught in the fold of the wings, diffuses on the wall. The mirroring chrome renders the suppleness of the movement.
