Parnasse

by Laurent Charles, 80's   { The Charles }

Mount Parnassus, in Greece, was consecrated to Apollo and the Muses: the mountain of poetry. Laurent Charles made of it a floor lamp that raises, at the end of a fine stem, a trumpet-cup from which the light leaps upward, like an offering held out. The slender shaft rises from a flared foot, in gilt brass or in chrome.
