The tower of Babel climbed toward the sky in stages, the ambition of reaching the heights. Emmanuel Bossuet made two floor lamps of it: polished metal tubes grouped and tiered, rising in a sheaf from a round base, run through with bands of warm LED lodged between the shafts. Babel I raises a tight tower; Babel II tiers it further, taller and more deployed. The light climbs between the columns, stage by stage. The polish of the metal carries the ascent on.
