by La Maison Charles, 60's { The Charles }
Coral builds its gardens beneath the sea, branch after branch, in fragile arborescences. The maison Charles set bronze boughs of it at the summit of this square-shafted floor lamp, like a sea-bouquet fixed in metal. The geometric shade caps the column. The coral, organic, stands out against the brushed shaft; a second version offers a bouquet of coral, mirrored, at the foot of the shaft near the base. The light sets the relief of the branches playing.
