The falbala, that flounce of twisted cloth, that trimming, draws here a door handle. Philippe Parent cast in bronze braided and mingled cords, which imitate to perfection the interlace of a silk braid, set on an oval rose. Falbala (ref. PP-026) makes of it a lever handle, coiled and undulating; Falbala II (ref. PP-027) a knob all in a tight knot. The bronze, gilt, silvered, or patinated, renders each twist. Down to the accessories, the maison Charles tends the detail: the hand closes on a braid of metal.
