The convex mirror - the witch's eye - bows its surface to seize a whole room in a single reflection. Olivia Putman ringed it with a bronze frame of radiating striations, like the crown of light around an eclipsed disc. The bowed glass gathers the space; the textured frame turns it into a star hung on the wall. The reflection lends depth to the room it embraces. Between the optical object and the artwork, the Eclipse captures the whole room in its roundness.
