Bubbles, 16 Lights - Varnished

by La Maison Charles, 2008   { The Charles }

Conceived by Luc Gensollen in 2008 for the centenary of the maison Charles, the Bubbles series is heightened by the rare technique of verre églomisé, silvered by hand and signed by the master glassmaker Stéphane Rivoal. At the scale of a pendant, the spheres form a constellation: mirrored bubbles gather into clusters that radiate around a central hub, like the branches of a star. The lights sit between them, which each sphere reflects and multiplies. The piece comes in several formats, from 3 to 28 sources of light.
