by Laurent Charles, 80's { The Charles }
A column is made of a shaft and a capital: Laurent Charles brings the floor lamp back to this essential of architecture, raised like a fragment of temple. A shaft of dark bronze, with a grainy patina, rises from a square base and ends in a small capital, just beneath the brass shade. The contrast plays between the matte shaft and the gleam of the capital and the base. The antique becomes a light, reduced to its purest vertical.
