by Jacques Charles, 60's { The Charles }
A flame rises, narrows, then opens at the top into an unexpected corolla: Jacques Charles froze the movement in stainless steel. The slender shaft twists faintly and unfolds above into two blades that part, giving passage to the light. The mirroring metal catches every reflection and sets the climb of the fire trembling. The piece exists also in painted steel (ref. 4003-1). It belongs to the great series of stainless-steel lights Jacques Charles created in the sixties, resolutely of the seventies in spirit.
