The designer Kossi Aguessy brings the lamp back here to two discs: a low plate that serves as base, an upper disc that makes the shade, joined by a slender stem. The top disc tilts to direct the light at will. The LED lodges beneath a disc of Plexiglas, and the clarity divides between direct lighting and the reflection of the lacquered surfaces. The deep black answers the gleam of the silvered brass of the stem.`
