ASAP, as soon as possible: Kossi Aguessy gave his lamp a name of urgency, and the form has the impulse of it. Three brass legs splay from the floor, meet and surge into a flared neck: an almost living silhouette, midway between insect and tripod, already poised to dart off. At the top, an alabaster shade diffuses a warm, milky light, tuned to the pink of the metal. The translucent stone softens the clarity; the polished metal carries the motion. Set on its three supports, the lamp seems ready to leave, at once.
