Mini Mathô

Mini Mathô takes the form of a brass disc, like a leaf of gold, set against the wall, struck at its centre with a boss turned in concentric circles. Söhé David-Kawauchi and Hadrien Francillon have made a shield of light from it. The gold leaf, laid by hand, vibrates with its craquelure. A ring of alabaster, from which the light escapes, completes this singular piece. Lit, the sconce turns the wall into a ground of sun.
