by Felix Agostini, 1962 { The Agostini Legacy }
The quadriga is the antique chariot harnessed to four horses, launched in the arena or raised atop triumphal arches. The table bears the name on two counts: it is the fourth low table by Félix Agostini editioned by Charles, after Sapajou, Phoebé, and the Petite Table Orientale. Its bronze base traces on the floor a course of crossed lines, cast to the nearest of the hand, alive beneath the patina. A broad glass top rests on this team: transparent, it lets the drawing of the bronze run beneath like a track.
