by La Maison Charles, 60's { The Charles }
Cordage, the seafaring art of coiling and turning ropes, gives this lamp its name through the metal spring that winds around its shaft, just beneath the shade. The maison Charles made of it a polished brass floor lamp, set on a square base, where the twist of the cordage, held by a leather ring, stands as the sole ornament. The fabric shade caps the column. The mirror metal runs the length of the stem.
