Corum, named after a town in Anatolia, presides over the table: a vast pendant whose great shade of pleated silk descends in a generous bell, girdled at its base by a crown of small bronze cups that shelter the light sources. Philippe Parent makes of it a piece for receiving, ample and sovereign, made to gather guests under a single light. The silk tempers the brightness; the bronze of the cups warms it with a sharper gleam.
