Orgues H. 60cm

by Jacques Charles, 60's   { The Charles }

In the 1960s, Jacques Charles launched a great series of stainless-steel lights, resolutely of the seventies in spirit. The Orgues is its flagship, an emblem of the maison Charles. Here it is in its sconce version. Polished metal tubes, grouped vertically, cut on the bias at top and bottom, wash the wall with light through their two open ends. The polish returns one unbroken reflection; the hollow of the tubes catches the brightness and gives it back, golden. The piece comes in chrome, brass, or dark patina. Without a shade, the instrument becomes a wall light.
