Counterpart to the owl and cast on the same base, the fish is its exact opposite: no longer the bird of the night but the creature of the water. Chrystiane Charles has caught it in profile, body full and fins spread, scales chased in the bronze. The fish stands on a cubic base. The brass shade, dark, contrasts with the gleam of the metal. Gilt or silvered, it keeps the bright polish of a fish just breaking the surface.
