Desert Rose

by La Maison Charles, 2000's   { The Charles }

The desert rose stacks its blades of gypsum in tight petals: Emmanuel Bossuet drew two pieces from it. The tray (ref. 9047) hollows a disc with a polished metal rim around a ground of gold leaf, like a precious cup. The low table (ref. 6975) heaps brass pebbles into an irregular base that carries a broad round glass top. The metals play on all their reflections.
