by Felix Agostini, 1950 { The Agostini Legacy }
The name of this table speaks of the East: a bronze base on three tapered legs, open-worked with quatrefoils that recall claustra screens and mashrabiyas. First issued by the maison Charles, it served Félix Agostini as an occasional table. The casting keeps the grain of the hand beneath the gilding, fine down to the fastenings. A round top of clear smoked glass, held by four cabochons, rests on this light frame.
