by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
Chrystiane Charles slipped flowers and leaves between the pages of every book in her house. The amaryllis was among them: native to the Andes, brought into European glasshouses in the eighteenth century, it has always carried something theatrical. A winter bulb, it rises on a straight stem ringed by a round of dancing leaves that inspired in Chrystiane the bronze silhouette of this sculptural table lamp, crowned with a fabric shade that diffuses a soft light.
