Rasa

In Sanskrit, rasa names savour, essence, the emotion a work must deliver. Philippe Parent has made of it a screen-lamp: a shaft of pale, translucent alabaster, at the centre of which a bronze medallion spreads its veins, set on a light wave of brass. The stone lights from within and sets the medallion floating in its milky clarity. The rectangular brass shade caps the whole.
