Tourbillon

A whirlwind never quite comes to rest: it winds air, leaves and light into a single rising motion. Chrystiane Charles has fixed that impulse in bronze. From base to summit, the foot of this table lamp coils into a column of leaves spiralling upward, each chased down to the vein. The patina runs along the twist and sets the light turning with it. A cylindrical fabric shade completes this vegetal ascent.
