The zurna is a wind instrument of Anatolian and Balkan festivals, a double-reed oboe whose bell flares to carry sound into the distance. This table lamp takes up its line: a tall, slender bronze stem, hammered to a grainy texture, opening toward the floor into a foot as flared as an instrument's mouth. The bronze gathers light in its irregular grain. At the top, a conical shade sets its clear note above the soaring vertical.
