by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
The fern belongs to an ancient, prehistoric world: it peopled the Earth long before colour, the scent of flowers and the bees. Chrystiane Charles has drawn it as a supple thicket, fronds tiered from base to top in a fan, each chased to the smallest denticle. The gilt bronze seems to quiver under a light breeze. The bouquet rises on a cube base. The brass shade, rectangular or circular, lays its horizontal over the vegetal surge.
