Fluting is one of the oldest ornaments of the column: those vertical grooves that slim the shaft and make shadow and light slide over it. Mickael Wagner makes it the motif of this lamp: a shaft of nickelled metal, slender and fluted, punctuated with turned rings, raised on a round base. The white fabric shade extends its vertical. The form, classical in principle, turns contemporary by its bareness. The light underlines each groove of the shaft.
