by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
In the seventeenth century, the tulip drove Holland mad: the first speculative bubble in history bears a flower's name. Chrystiane Charles has planted a whole bed of them, slender stems topped with bronze corollas, open or still closed, springing from leaves patinated green. Each flower shelters its own source of light. The compositions come in two or three tulips, set on stepped bases. The bronze keeps the freshness of a field of flowers at morning.
