by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
Byblos, on the Phoenician coast, is one of the oldest cities in the world: from it, and from the papyrus traded there, the word 'bible' eventually came. Chrystiane Charles has drawn a palm fan cast in bronze, spread at the top of a slender stem on a cubic base. The leaflets radiate from the heart, chased on both faces. The circular brass shade lays its horizontal over this vegetal plume.
