by La Maison Charles, 60's { The Charles }
The starfish has this astonishing power: it can regrow a lost arm, rebuilding itself, faithful to its five-fold symmetry. The maison Charles has caught it amid a thicket of bronze seaweed, as though washed up on a shore. The metal mingles silver and gold, chased down to the grain of the star's skin. The whole rises on a geometric base. The brass shade, straight, leaves the marine composition alone at the foot of the lamp.
