by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
Milos is that island of the Cyclades where white stone and sea throw back an almost blinding light. Chrystiane Charles has drawn from it a closed corolla, midway between bud and tulip: pointed bronze leaves, finely striated, raised and drawn together as if ready to open. The light, lodged at the heart, escapes between the leaves and lights them from within.
