by Chrystiane Charles, 70's { The Charles }
The trade winds are those steady winds that sweep the tropics, bending the vegetation in their path. Chrystiane Charles has fixed their breath in bronze: gilded leaves rise and curve, as if caught full in the wind, on a rectangular base. The light, lodged in the hollow of the foliage, runs along the chased veins and escapes between the leaves. The whole movement goes with the wind.
