by La Maison Charles, 1998 { The Charles }
On three tapered feet, Yamo has set a shade of dense colour, and it is at the moment of lighting that the piece reveals itself: beneath the rim of the cone, a fringe of blue crystals catches the light and throws it back in coloured flashes. The tripod, clean and graphic, contrasts with that glitter. The cut pendants play on transparency. Standing on its three legs, the lamp sets the rigour of the frame against the heady lightness of the crystals.
