by Felix Agostini, 1966 { The Agostini Legacy }
Venus reigns over love and beauty, born of the foam, the shepherd's star at the threshold of day. The floor lamp holds her line, long and supple: a bronze stem rises from the floor, barely swollen at mid-height by an openwork lozenge, like a waist marked by a single knot. Félix Agostini casts the metal at its tightest, keeping the reworkings and the grain of the hand. The cylindrical shade caps this filiform mast: the light descends along the bronze, lengthens the silhouette further, and sets it on the floor in a fine shadow.
