by Felix Agostini, 1962 { The Agostini Legacy }
The shark leaves the wall and stands upright: the same tapered line as the sconce, set this time on an open bronze foot, becomes a table lamp. The triangular screen takes up its ridge and shows two faces: a stretched fabric, light as a veil, and a natural silk that underlines the profile. Félix Agostini keeps the metal its casting grain, alive beneath the patina. The light lodges in the triangle of fabric: it crosses the pale veil, grazes the silk, and raises on the floor the narrow shadow of the upright fish.
