Brother to the Ducal, the Zozio Impérial carries higher its title of bird: filiform, planted on three legs, it holds its shade like a crown. Charles played on all the asperities of the bronze, hollows and projections, to give the casting all its relief beneath the patina. The stance on three points lends it the poise of a sovereign at rest. The round shade sets on its head: the light descends along the three splayed legs and lays on the surface a radiating shadow, to the measure of its dignity.
