Quasar

The quasar is one of the most luminous objects in the cosmos, a galactic nucleus that radiates beyond all distances. The sconce bears its name like a promise of light. A bronze frame traces a minimal outline, stretched with a fine wire that prolongs its geometry, and holds an oval screen at its centre. Félix Agostini reduces the matter to essentials, keeping the metal its matte grain. The light lodges behind the dark screen: held at the centre, it escapes through the edges and haloes the wall with a glow that overflows the frame.
